The seminar week is from the 1st to the 6th of August 2023. It starts with an opening concert at 20.00 the 1st. It will be possible to check in at the academy, where you will stay, before the opening concert. The master classes will take place from the 2th to the 5th of August. You will have to check out from the academy after breakfast on the 7th of August.

Suggested minimum age limit for the seminar is 15 years. However, we will also make it possible for interested children under 15 to participate. Contact us at: post@nordaccordion.com for further information.

Preparation

Study the pieces before arrival, so that you can use time to follow the master classes. Please bring one extra copy of all scores!

Check in and timetable

When checking in at the Ole Bull Academy, all the seminar participants will get their individual timetable. We will also put up timetables and other relevant information in the Ole Bull Academy’s common rooms. Please keep updated by checking these.

If you have special allergies and needs, which you did not point out in the application, please send an e-mail to post@nordaccordion.com and inform us.

Alcohol is prohibited during the seminar. This means that it is not allowed to consume alcohol inside the Ole Bull Academy. We kindly ask everybody to respect this.

Transport

Bergen Airport Flesland is one of the biggest airports in Norway, with lots of domestic and international arrivals every day. From the airport, you can take the light rail or bus to Bergen Central Station, and from here take a direct train to Voss. This light trail takes about 45 minutes. The train from Bergen to Voss departs every hour, and takes about 80 minutes. Remember to buy ticket in advance; on the app, on the internett or at an automate at the railway station. There is also a beautiful train trip from Oslo, which takes about 5h 30m.
